Yeah, Lady Jane. I wouldn't apply this to my own laundry actions either. :) This poem, rather, makes me think of a cat or waking up in the morning or waking up in the metaphysical sense of becoming aware and increasingly awake by the moment.
The thoughts that are there before you realize you were going to think anything, the ones you are about to move away from and on to another, but you look back just in time before leaving and recognize they might be worth pondering.
